Having seen this Mataro through a different lens previously we knew of its quality and immediately both thought… a Shiraz\/Mataro!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eA barrel selected blend of these two single vineyard wines. The Mataro and Shiraz components were made separately and blended post maturation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis vintage has delivered what we hoped for and suspected when blending these two varieties. It speaks clearly of Springs Hill, with varietal purity, medium-weight structure and savouriness at its core. Blue fruits, violets and darker spice notes bring complexity to both the aroma and palate, while the palate itself is expansive without losing its sense of proportion.
